NSN Hibernates
Posted 12.27.2007 10:51 am by McMahon
Yup, we're furry and require rest during the winter months. We've been busy this past year and decided to take some time to breath freely without the stress of playing every weekend. The winter months are off to a better start than last year, stuck on side of the railroad tracks in Maine!
In other news, last month we moved our gear into a rehearsal space in Manchester,NH for some much needed practice. We share the space with Life at Zero, so check those guys out (if you haven't already!). Regarding shows, or the lack there of, we've been selective with playing out, but have a couple shows booked to keep us 'fresh.' We're eager to hit the stage and, as the die-hards know, it's worth the wait... that is, unless its the end of the night! We're working on some new music and have a couple of songs in the books. In the meantime, check out the shows page and swing by for a beer!
Welcome Tom Gretschel to NSN
Posted 05.01.2007 08:30 pm by Holmes
We've officially made Tom Gretschel our 2nd guitarist! He stepped it up in order to play a few shows with us during our search, and he showed his patience and persistence by sticking with it despite not having been officially declared the new guitarist. Well, Tom, you're in! Everyone please take a second to welcome him to the fold.
Jim and myself got Tom on the air via phone during our guest visit on The Underworld Radio Show on Portsmouth (NH) Community Radio, 106.1 WSCA today to give him the good news. Classy, no? There should be a Podcast of the show available within a week. You'll be able to access that here. If you're not in the Seacoast region of NH, check out The Underworld Radio Show Tuesdays from 3 to 5pm via live webcast.
In shows news, we'll be hitting the Dover Brick House tomorrow, May 2nd, with Mortis Deveia and Black Market Activities acts The_Network and Gaza, both who played the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival this past weekend. This is going to be a nasty show, so if you're physically capable of being there, well shit, you'd better be there! We'll be opening the night at 9pm (earlier than most Brick House Wednesdays), so be sure to get there as early as you can so you don't miss a beat!
Friday's show scheduled at the Steppin' Out Lounge in Manchester, NH, has been cancelled due to the venue being closed; the show will be rescheduled to a future date. In lieu of this, we've hopped on the Rat Pak Records Cinco de Mayo bash at Mark's Showplace. Yea, it might only be May 4th, but by the time the show's over it'll be the 5th. This show will feature 10+ bands performing on two stages virtually non-stop through the night -- you'll definitely get your money's worth on this one.
And finally, Saturday brings about Metal in the Kingdom IV! Those of you who've been to any of the MK extravaganzas in northern VT know what it's all about. Those of you who haven't, the drive is worth it!
Lowell Sun Interview

We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to say a few words in an interview for the Lowell Sun to help promote this Saturday's benefit show Out of the Pits at Milly's Tavern in Manchester, NH.

Hope to see a lot of people out for this show, it's for a good cause, and the lineup is basically amazing. So get the lead out, chumps!
