Welp, you heard it right! Thanks to our friends in Synthetic Mindset (featuring Jermey from NOK) we're headed south of the border for two shows THIS weekend. Check them out and more on the shows page.

In two weeks we're back at Marks Showplace with Rat Pack Records and Devil's Champion's triumphant return with their new drummer. Tickets are availible and you can email us to reserve and/or purchase.

For Your Entertainment
Posted 08.31.2006 11:00 pm by Holmes

Ok, so we know we haven't put out new music in a long time, but we wanted you to know we're trying to focus more on getting some new material together. I made a teaser mp3 for you all; it's a combination of some interesting voicemails I've gotten (layered over Epic, which isn't really heavy enough for our live shows but may appear on a future CD), followed by clips from 4 songs I've been working with and hope to see turn into full songs at some point.

Unfortunately all the song clips have computerized drums, but fuck (not butt fuck), it's better than nothing, right?

And for future reference, if you have my cell number, feel free to call it and leave crazy voicemails; it might just make you famous.

Download the teaser mp3 at our media page.

WE HAVE TEAMED UP WITH CORDIAL RECORDS!
Posted 07.18.2006 11:45 pm by Holmes

We're proud to announce that we are now working closely with Cordial Records, a project run by John Jones, guitarist of Trauma Concept. The mission of Cordial Records is to connect hard-working bands and devoted fans to help keep the independent music scene alive and well. This is not a 'signed record deal', it is more of a promotional, networking and guidance tool for a family of bands trying to keep the music scene about the music and camaraderie.

We have always been highly involved in the local metal scene; many of you have often seen us out supporting our friends in other local bands on our off days, so we're happy to become associated with a more organized effort that seeks to push independent music forward. We ask that you check out Cordial Records as well to show your support. Without you, our favorite local clubs would turn into jukebox disasters and the face of music -- the hard-working bands performing day in and out for little to no money -- would cease to exist.

Check out Cordial Records and its lineup of other hard-working, independent bands at MySpace (friend them, dammit!) and cordialrecords.com.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support!

LOCOBA-NO-GO

We're going to pass on playing the actual festival this year. We just can't come up with the money to support it on this short notice. We did receive positive response from about 25 people over the last couple of weeks saying they would definitely go and buy tickets, but still, that's not nearly enough to cover the $6,000 it costs to play. We decided that at this point it is more beneficial for us to put what little money we have toward merch, demos, press kits, equipment and gas. However, we may still be playing one of the official pre-party shows!

Speaking of shows, we have a slew of new ones scheduled. Most notably we'll be making it into Maine and Vermont for the first time. Just quickly, our upcoming shows are: July 15th @ Milly's Tavern in Manchester, NH; July 26th @ The Brick House in Dover, NH; July 29th @ Phat Kat's in Lydonville, VT; July 31st @ The Alehouse in Portland, ME; August 5th @ The Dover Elks Lodge in Dover, NH; and August 6th @ The Spyder Room in Manchester, NH. Mark your calendars and be sure to come out to one -- at LEAST one!

LOCOBAZOOKA!
Posted 06.24.2006 12:46 pm by Holmes

From a Locobazooka! / 3D Entertainment rep: "Thanks for submitting Never Say Never for Locobazooka! festival performance consideration.  We like your music.  Your songs are hits!

We receive over 3000 submissions from bands around the world every year, and Never Say Never is one of the finalists selected for possible performance."

As Locobazooka! is an all ages festival featuring over 50 national and local acts, this in itself is a significant accomplishment for us, but we need to know how many people we could get to the show.

It takes place on August 13th at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA, with headliner Alice in Chains, and we'd be selling tickets for around $40 (probably less) each. Please let us know if you'd be interested so that we can determine if this is an oppotunity we should bust our asses for. Leave posts on our message board or send us e-mails if you're interested!

Da dun dun da dun dun daa!

Despite broken strings and broken double-kick pedals, we managed to get through our set at last Saturday's show with Crossbreed and Stuck Mojo. Thanks to Gil from A Timely Demise who was on hand to fill in in case Justin couldn't make it, and also thanks to him for letting Jeff use his guitar to finish out the set. Also thanks to Jeremy from Demiurge for lending parts to fix Dave's double-kick. Even John Jones from Trauma Concept was out on the town! It was a great time!

We booked a fistful of shows in the last couple weeks, starting with THREE consecutive shows this weekend. Friday at Club Illusions in Methuen, MA, with Heretic Hybrid, Saturday with Window Pain and Two-Sided Season at the Dover Brick House in Dover, NH, and Sunday is Justin's farewell show with Buried and Still Breathing at their practice space in Strafford, NH. Then July starts off with a bang as we open for Dope and Manntis at Mark's in Bedford, NH, on July 3rd and then for Hell Within and Trauma Concept at Reflections Lounge in Chelmsford, MA, on July 8th. Come on out and have some fun already! See the shows page for more information.

Our merch supply has finally dwindled down enough for us to place an order. For those who have been hounding us for hoodies: YES, we are ordering hoodies! Hopefully we can get the new merch in before July, so hurry up and make plans to come out to a show or two or five!

It's About That Time
Posted 04.23.2006 04:33 pm by McMahon

For those that keep asking about the demo, it has finally been completed. We are working on the cover art and then will be sending it out for mass production. For those of you in the Rhode Island area, we are playing with Candy Striper Death Orgy and Godless Rising at KC's Tap in Pawtucket, RI this weekend. See our shows page for more information.

We have completed our new t-shirt design logo:

FRONT

BACK

These can be purchased at shows for $10 or you can snail mail your cash and we will ship it out to you. We are completely out of stickers at this time, so we are going to try and get some more of those for circulation on car bumpers and bathroom stalls.

Also, if you know of any shows in the works in your area and would like us to play it, send us an e-mail with show and contact information, and we can try to get on it!
Final Lineup & Screamfest
Posted 02.27.2006 09:55 pm by McMahon

It's been a while since our last update. First off, we had a great response to fill the 2nd guitarist position from friends and fans alike, and we'd like to thank those who tried out for putting so much effort into learning the material and jumping on stage with us. We truly appreciate everything those guys did as we likely asked for more out of them than any other band would. The person who has filled that guitarist spot is Justin Regis -- welcome to NSN! When you see him at the shows, make him feel at home and introduce yourself.

This weekend is the 1st Annual Screamfest in Rochester, NH, which was set up by our good friends in Buried And Still Breathing. There are over 15 bands lined up! Check out the shows page for more information. Remember, the show starts at 12pm; it's $10 in advance or $15 at the door, so be sure to contact us if you want to save $5 by buying advance tickets.

We are putting together a new merch order, which will hopefully be here by this weekend. If everything goes as planned, you may see our new DEATH logo on our merch table!

For those of you who keep asking, the demo is almost complete. It's been a busy month for us, so bear with us! We are excited about the new mixes and think you will be too.

End Transmission.

Video Compilation
Posted 01.27.2006 09:09 pm by Holmes

We've put together a 6-minute video of all of the best clips we have starting from July 2004 through January 2006. It's sort of like the evolution of NSN in video form. If you don't have cable internet, don't even bother trying to watch it -- it's almost 30 MB! To the rest of you, we hope you enjoy it.

A little more on why we changed the site already -- I set up an administrator template for managing this site, which I intend to try to sell to other bands who need web sites. I'm selling it (along with my graphic design/layout services) to bands for only $250. If this were to have been done by a web design company, it would probably have costed around $2000 or more. I want to help give bands a stronger web presence without all of the costs, so if you're in a band and are interested in having a site with all of the same functionality and content as this site, there's more information here.

Finally, don't forget we have a show tomorrow (Saturday) in Hopkinton. It's our first all-ages show since we're back, so I expect to see a lot of you crazy kids there! And you should especially come to see our new bassist and a new auditioning guitarist. Don't be shy now.

This Is It
Posted 01.24.2006 12:50 am by Holmes

If you were getting bored before, I hope you aren't now.

We just uploaded the new site design that's accompanied by an extensive administrator system that should hopefully make updating the site faster and easier. I'll explain more when all of the kinks have been ironed out.

For now, the contact page isn't working (host problem) and the videos haven't yet been uploaded because of their size, but those things should be worked out within a couple of days.

We're back into playing shows now, having played this past Saturday at Milly's Tavern in Manchester, and we have a shitload of photos to prove it, so get on over to the media page to check it out.

More to come soon, so don't think you've seen and heard everything.

2nd Guitarist Try-Outs
Posted 12.11.2005 11:08 pm by Holmes

Following the recent departure of Post, we've been on the lookout for a 2nd guitarist to join up with us. In case you haven't made it to the bio page recently, here's what we're looking for:

We'd like someone with a good deal of experience who's willing to learn the bulk of our existing material and be an active, creative contributor. We have a 2nd guitar setup for shows that is identical to what Holmes uses (minus the foot switch), so don't let equipment concerns be a deterrent. Making NeverSayNever a top priority is a must. If you have similar musical interests, on-stage energy, and an easy-going, enthusiastic personality, you'd probably be a good fit. Someone between the ages of 18 and 28 with own transportation is a plus.

If you're interested in trying out please e-mail Holmes with a personal introduction (include age, hometown, etc.), equipment list, and past experience.

We're aiming to hold try-outs between December 27th and December 31st so that we can make a decision by January 1st. Our next show is happening on January 21st at Milly's Tavern in Manchester, NH, so the goal is to have the new guitarist prepped for that show. If you want to give it a shot, get in touch with us soon so we can get some preliminary issues out of the way and be sure that we plan the exact date and time for try-outs with everyone in mind.

If you know anyone who may be interested, please feel free to pass this message along.

Farewell
Posted 12.03.2005 01:59 pm by Post

As of last night the band and I have decided to part ways. We have decided that to expand on the NSN rampage that is ensuing, a more devoted and passionate guitarist will be needed, among other reasons. I have no hard feelings toward the band or any of its members as this was a mutual agreement. With the closing of the Bomb Shelter, an opportunity to grow and work with new ideas has presented itself to the band, and it's not going to go to waste. I have no doubts that NeverSayNever will continue its assault on the world of music more powerfully than ever. Thanks to you all for your support over the past year, and thanks to NSN for experiences and friendships like no other. And remember...

Stay Metal

Photo Recap And Our Last Bomb Shelter Show
Posted 11.22.2005 02:55 pm by Holmes

What up everyone!? We had a very fun (but long) weekend. Photos from Saturday at The Bomb Shelter are up on the media page, and though we didn't have anyone to take photos at the Sayonara Summer Fest, Rev. Aaron from Return To The Pit was on hand to snap some of us; check out those photos here.

This Friday we will be performing at The Bomb Shelter again. This is going to be our last Bomb Shelter show, and afterwards we plan to take a break from playing shows for at least a month so that we can focus on recording a quality demo. That means you all need to make an extra effort to come out to see us Friday as we may not play another show until mid-January! Bring your friends, your parents, your co-workers, your complete strangers. It's going to be a good time, so come join us!

Busy Busy Weekend
Posted 11.19.2005 02:30 pm by Ellis

We've uploaded our pictures from last night's Shred Fest '05, and you can check those out on the media page. Also thanks to everyone who came out last night and a special thanks to Nate of Black Onyx for organizing the show and putting us on the line-up.

If you didn't go last night, you have a chance for redemption tonight at the Bomb Shelter; Screaming Ferret Wreckords is holding a show so come on down if you can! For more information, check out the shows page.

I'm not finished yet; tomorrow is the Sayonara Summer Fest at Club 125 in Haverill, MA, which will be a show not to miss! Our set time is 1:15 to 1:45, and other bands appearing include And Then There Were None, Hand Choke Neck, SinAriA, and Porphyria! So come on, metalheads, it's well worth the drive.

Lastly, we have an instrumental recording of First Time Human available on the media page, so click that shit and download it.

Anyway, I hope to see some new and familiar faces tonight and tomorrow!

Hogs Trough Cancellation
Posted 11.09.2005 10:22 am by Holmes

The show tonight at the Hogs Trough has been CANCELLED. Word is that the Hogs Trough has a new owner who has been randomly cancelling shows. Our apologies to all those who were planning on coming out.

Now we focus on this Saturday's show with SCISSORFIGHT! If you're going and don't yet have tickets, get them ASAP from any of us or our head groupie Sara.

Media and Shows and Stuff
Posted 11.03.2005 01:32 pm by McMahon

Metalheads,

We just finished uploading the photos and video from last Friday's Halloween Show. The costume idea was anonymously decided on: Loggers in Ski Masks. Check those out here. Thanks to all who came out, especially Steve from Hand Choke Neck and the guys from Buried and Still Breathing. For those who didn't come out and support? You should be ashamed. Don't fret, the rest of the pack picked up the slack for you.

Next Wednesday (Nov. 9th) we will be playing The Hogs Trough Saloon with our northern buddies Dsend. It's a great little venue and there's no cover, so come on out!

We are playing with Scissorfight on Saturday (Nov. 12th) at The Bomb Shelter with Life Underground and Losers Fight It. There should be a large crowd there so buy tickets from us ASAP -- especially those of you who did not attend the last show!

Interesting side note: Our demo CD was played through the PA at The Bomb Shelter last night (Nov. 2nd) between Most Precious Blood and Hatebreed. It's true.

Halloween Bash
Posted 10.17.2005 08:55 pm by Post

All right people, here's the deal. We have virtually zero costume ideas for the halloween show. Hit up the board or e-mail one of us with your suggestions. There may even be something in store for the best submission...

As usual, the media page has been updated behind your backs, so check that out for some new photos.

Stay metal!

Blah Blah Blah
Posted 09.26.2005 05:27 pm by Holmes

I know. It's been a long time since you've heard from us. If you've been checking the site periodically, though, you'll know that we haven't been dormant. In fact, there are five new photo galleries and a new video on the media page. In The Flesh has been removed from our set list due to it receiving no particular interest from both us and fans alike. We have many new shows, and we have been playing many shows recently. What Just Happened Studio has been added as a new metal ally. We've already recorded drums there for six of the nine songs we currently have. That is all. I apologize for the bland, to-the-point update.

Happy Now?
Posted 09.01.2005 01:26 am by Holmes

What's up chumps!? We [finally] have some new shit for you. I totally slacked on the updates for a few weeks there, but after enduring a little shit talking I got myself in gear. We have new photos up for our past four shows, so check those out on the media page. There would be new videos, but you know what? I did the photos, so digest those first.

Speaking of shows, we have a bunch of new ones. Most importantly, we're playing this Saturday at the Bomb Shelter! It's really short notice, but it'd be awesome to get a good crowd there, so change your plans if you have any and come on out. It's all all ages gig, too. I don't want to hear any bullshit like, "Oh I'm broke," or, "I don't have a ride," or, "I have relatives visiting," or anything like that. Beg for money on the corner, hitchhike, bring your family... There, perfect solutions for all aforementioned problems. Anyway, check out all of the other new show information on the shows page.

In other pertinent NSN news, we'll have a song appearing on a compilation CD being produced by John Jones, guitarist of Trauma Concept, and their label Cordial Records. The song we chose to provide for this compilation is You're Fucked, and to try to give a little better impression to recipients of the compilation, we had Alex of What Just Happened Studio in Dover, NH, master a version of the song (unfortunately, it had to be with the drum machine in order for us to take advantage of this opportunity). We'd like to thank Alex for doing that for us; we definitely think the mastered version is a lot more powerful than what we had before. I'd upload the mastered version, but I think you should try to get ahold of one of those compilations. Yea, do that. The compilation will be given out at Locobazooka and on Trauma Concept's upcoming tour in October, and it should also be available for sale on the Cordial Records web site.

Do we have enough fans yet to do some sort of contest? You people are starting to bore me. Haha.

At The Hogs Trough TONIGHT
Posted 08.09.2005 03:00 pm by Holmes

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that we're going to hit up the open mic / audition night at the Hogs Trough in Manchester this evening. If you live in the Manchester area, are 21 or over, and need something to do, come on out! It starts at 8:00 PM, but we'll be there earlier.

8/21 Show Rescheduled to 9/18
Posted 08.07.2005 10:23 pm by Holmes

Just wanted to let you all know that the August 21st show at The Bomb Shelter for the final round of the FUBAR battle of the bands has been moved to September 18th due to scheduling conflicts. All of the other details remain the same, and it gives us a month-long buffer between Bomb Shelter shows, so maybe we'll be able to get more of you out for the battle of the bands! Hopefully a lot of you are planning on coming out to the Seemless show on the 20th; if you're going to see us, please e-mail me to have me reserve tickets for you!

neversayneveronline: REBORN!
Posted 07.29.2005 11:00 am by Holmes

The surprise is finally here! Our site is now 90% database integrated, meaning we can add, update, delete, and edit content with a minimal amount of HTML fiddling. In plain English: Now we can do some really cool shit really easily and provide you with some of the best features any band site has to offer. We (McMahon and myself) slaved over this (quite literally) from the initial design concept proposed on Sunday to this moment, each working on it well over 10 hours each day this week. McMahon provided me with tons of content and creative criticism while I designed the graphics, set up the information structure, and hand-coded all of the HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and ASP (don't worry, I don't expect you to know what all of that is). My only request is that if you encounter any errors or odd functionalities, you send me a message via the contact page.

If you weren't aware, I'm a freelance web developer when I'm not wrapped up in the band; if you're interested in having me develop a web site for you, head over to haffej.com to see what kind of services I offer. I'm willing to develop basic band and promotion web sites for a flat fee of $250 (not including host and domain fees) -- developing such a site at my normal rate would cost anywhere from $350 and up, but I know bands are poor and I believe the web is a great tool for networking, establishing a band identity, and keeping people interested in what you're doing. For a long time many of us have envisioned a more unified metal scene in and around New Hampshire, and perhaps this is a way to jumpstart that process by getting more bands better representation on the web.

So without further ado, get clicking! But don't click too fast or you might miss something.

Confused, Yet?
Posted 07.22.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Get this. Apparently FUBAR is back and their battle of the bands is on for TONIGHT. Yes, we are STILL PLAYING TONIGHT at the Bomb Shelter! This past week we heard Orrthannan Productions was in charge of it, and we tried to get a bunch of bands to fill the slots for this weekend, but I suppose that all goes for not. As far as we know at this point, the doors should open at 6:00 PM, $8 for a ticket. We're not sure what bands are playing when, but hopefully it'll be a kickass show. We apologize for the short notice on all these details, but it was out of our control, and we're trying to make the best of it. To all those who still make it out tonight, thanks for sticking by us!

Some new photos are up on the media page from our show this past Wednesday at the Dover Brick House. Check 'em out.

Departures and Demos
Posted 07.20.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

A couple of minor setbacks to note, here. Erik Faro has decided to step down as the NeverSayNever bassist because the majority of his time is committed to work and practicing / performing with Supplication. It worked well for the little time he was able to play with us, but we understand his reasoning and will keep an eye out for a new bassist.

We've also run into some trouble recording the new demo, so you won't likely see anything new until some time after our upcoming string of shows. We still have some v2 demos that we'll be bringing to the shows, but we're not sure how long those will last.

FUBAR?
Posted 07.17.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

So FUBAR has been MIA for a while so we don't know what the deal is for their battle of the bands. Seems we're out $100 for it, but we're still playing at the Bomb Shelter on Friday, July 22nd. The details have changed a bit, however; it's still all ages, but now under 21 pays $15 at the door and 21+ get in for free, like a regular Friday night at the Bomb Shelter (except this is all ages, not 18+). If you like us and feel bad that we lost money, please come out and show your support. Dozens of screaming fans will easily cheer us up.

We Cannot Be
Posted 07.14.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Is anyone out there getting bored yet? Well don't worry, get ready to put on your dancing shoes and make sure your IV is primed because we're going to be busy the next few weeks. We've confirmed several upcoming shows -- simply too much to try to communicate to you here so check out the shows page
to get clued in.

Aside from that, we're working on putting together a new 4-song demo to have ready starting July 20th with our show at the Dover Brick House. Something will be a little different about this demo. Real drums, performed by double-kick Dave Ellis himself. These recordings will be more raw and have a lot more variety in the drums -- overall just a more realistic sound (because, well... it's all real). Eager to hear what it sounds like? Then check out our new song We Cannot Be at the media page! I know we told you long ago we'd have new songs for you, and we completely slacked. But we're back on the proverbial horse and are ready to throw some crazy new shit at you. Have a listen and let us know what you think.

We're going to be selling tickets for our 7/22 ($8) and 8/20 ($10) shows at The Bomb Shelter, so if you're going to go, and you ARE going, let us know so we can save some tickets for you. We'll also be selling tickets for the 7/29 ($10) show up in West Stewartstown. You can combine a trip there with going to Canada. Everyone loves Canada. Stop reading this and go download that
mp3 now.

We're Not Lazy, We're Conserving Energy
Posted 06.24.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

So I know a lot of you out there are wondering, "What's up with these fuckers? Where's my damn update?!" Well here it is.

We have a new bassist! He goes by the name Erik Faro, and he's also the vocalist (and former bassist) of our good friends Supplication. They went through some line-up changes recently so Faro moved to vocals but still had an itch to play bass, so he's joined up with us. He's a great fit so far, and we all hope his addition won't be short-lived as Supplication is still his first priority. Everyone welcome him by posting on the messageboard! Don't be shy.

We're currently in a little break while Ellis is on vacation in Florida with family. He's due back July 6th, so if you're a band looking to have us play a show, just know it'll have to be after that time.

Speaking of shows, we have 3 booked in July already for the 20th, 22nd, and 23rd. I'd explain all the details, but it really makes more sense for you to just check out the shows page.

As for new site content, there's a bunch of shit you need to check out. Check out the media page for a handful of new photos and a new video. Also check out the addition of Faro on the bio page and a couple more band links (which are already linked in the shows page).

You may not hear from us for a while again unless we finally get some fucking songs finished -- ones that only need some more lyrics. Or maybe we'll get some more shows booked. Hopefully we will. Then I'll be bugging you again. Ha ha.

Oh, one more thing. Our merch page looks like shit because no one's sending us photos! I mean, I know it's a lot of work to put on an NSN shirt and have someone take a picture and e-mail it, but shit, isn't that what fans are supposed to do? Don't make us hunt you down and tie you up. Unless you like that sort of thing, then we won't do it. But please, for your sake and for ours, send us some pictures! We need something to get excited about while Ellis is away. Humping walls just isn't cutting it anymore.

Thanks to everyone who came out this past Sunday to support us -- it was great to see all of you regulars there and to have some of our friends make the trip to see us play for the first time. Hopefully we made an impression and left you wanting a little more. It was cool to hang out before the show at our BBQ in the parking lot with that sad little grill. We'll be sure to do it again! The crowd response was amazing, I think it was the first time I saw a pit full of metal signs between songs, and it was simply awesome. Also, I have to give a special thank you to Chelsea from Supplication and my sister Jennifer Holmes who jumped on stage and grabbed mics to do guest vocals for Frailty. You two are welcome to join us for that song any time you want. Check out a bunch of photos of our friends and from our show at the Bomb Shelter on the media page. If anyone has photos of this show, please e-mail them to Holmes. That reminds me, as you'll see in one of the photos, someone was right up front videotaping the show -- if you are this person, is there any way we can get a copy of the video? Because that would just be fucking awesome. There's probably some free merch in it for you...

On a more serious note, we have decided to let go of our bassist Dan Burton for the time being. Just so everyone knows there's no bad blood or anything, Burton just wasn't able to commit to the band permanently at this time, which we would have liked. It's possible that at some point in the near future he'll be able to join up again to wreak havoc, but in the meantime we're going to keep our eyes open for a bass player.

Next, we have some new merch and some new photos on the merch page. We now have white tank tops and white baby doll t-shirts for girls, and we also have gray t-shirts for guys. Additionally, we're working on producing a new demo with Ellis on drums instead of that drum machine thing, so what we're doing is giving away free demos with any other purchase.

One such purchase you can make is a ticket for our next show! It's on June 12th at The Bomb Shelter with a bunch of bands we've never played with: Inforever, Harrvester, The Ambulance, Autumn's Last Goodbye, and Only Blood Will Tell. We expect this show to be a great one, so buy your tickets from your local NSN representative, or if you can't really do that, buy them online!

Thanks again, we'll be in touch when there's more to tell!

Mega Metal Update
Posted 05.10.2005 12:00 pm by McMahon

For those of you locked in a box, our ranks have thickened and swelled. The Franklin area has been our hotspot, but we have been getting a good response down by the seacoast area. So it's time to get serious dudes. We drained savings, cut back on necessities, and found enough change in the sofa to invest in some decent recording equipment in hopes of sending demos to promising record labels. We have been hard at work recording drum tracks, completing 9 songs this past Saturday. Check out a couple new photos and videos on the media page; for the videos, one is of Divided We Fall performed at The Dover Brick House on April 27th, and the other is a teaser for a new song we'll be releasing later this month called We Cannot Be.

Over the next couple weeks we are going to be updating all previous recordings. The majority of the crew decided to scrap our earlier finished product. Why? Sounds too synthesized and artificial compared to what we want to sound like. We have raised our standards, read up on how to record like a champ, and are ready to write/record/mix/produce on our own. We are building on the basics of our previously released songs, but we are hoping to add a more aggressive, less pre-programmed, and more live sound.

REMINDER: We still have a show on May 22nd at the Bombshelter. I have something special in store for you. For those of you that have seen us live, you know what we're capable of.

Thanks to the fans that support and keep us motivated. For those of you in NSN gear, don't be shy. Send us the visuals. Lindsay beat all you tank-top-wearin' soldiers to our infamous merch page. She set the pace; can you do better? Prove it.

With a raised fist and the utmost respect...

The Brick House Experience
Posted 04.29.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Wednesday at the Brick House was a good experience for us, though evidently the crowd wasn't expecting music as fast and heavy as us. We opened and played a six-song set, and we'd like to think we at least made it a challenge for the bands that followed. The best part of the night was meeting and hanging out with a couple guys from the band href="http://www.hand-choke-neck.com/">Hand Choke Neck (Jake - guitar, and Steve - bass). Hopefully we'll hook up some shows with these guys in the near future. Thanks to those who were able to come out! Check out 6 photos from the show on the media page.

Thursday we practiced and recorded Ellis on drums for all 9 songs we have (the 9th which we have yet to reveal to you). If all goes well, we'll have at least a couple recordings with live drums for you soon. In the meantime, check out a drum solo Ellis played (download from the media page), and if you're not impressed, punch yourself in the face, then try listening again.

Recap and April 27th Reminder
Posted 04.25.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Our show in Meredith on Friday went really well. Supplication was awesome (again), and we even got them to play a couple of encore songs. Hell yea! We played Third Shift At The Slaughterhouse live for the first time, so if you weren't there you missed out, but it'll be a regular part of our shows from now on. Thanks to everyone for coming out to support! Check out 5 photos from the show on the media page.

During one of our songs, a kid in the pit fell into a table and got a gash in the back of his head, and as far as we know he was treated in an ambulance and taken to the hospital. If you are this person, drop me an e-mail so I can send you a free 2005 Demo v2 CD. If you know this person, help me get in touch with him. We figure a head wound earns you at least a free CD. But the rest of you, don't get carried away and attempt to injure yourselves during our shows just so you can get free shit. We're not that cool.

And just a reminder for all you 21+ people out there, we have a show this Wednesday at The Dover Brick House opening for Window Pain and Dogfight. Come check us out and chill with us! Additional info is on the shows page.

April 22nd Show and Merch
Posted 04.15.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Just a couple of quick updates. The April 22nd show in Berlin is going to be rescheduled because a couple of the bands who were supposed to play have broken up. Not all is lost, however, as we were able to get in on a show on the same day in Meredith, NH, at The Grange with Supplication. More information is available on the shows page.

The merch page has been redone. You can now buy tickets to the May 22nd Bomb Shelter show online, and you can place orders for items we're due to receive before April 21st (men's t-shirts, women's baby doll t-shirts, women's ribbed tank tops, and hooded sweatshirts). You can also order 2005 Demo v2 CDs which include Third Shift At The
Slaughterhouse
and You're Fucked. It'll take a week or so from today for us to have everything ready to ship, but you can make sure you get what you want if you order soon!

Now That's Metal
Posted 04.02.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

We had a fun night at the Battle of the Bands yesterday, despite that it was probably our poorest performance yet (out of tune, equipment delays, general screw ups). Hey, every band has a night like that at one point or another, right? Though we felt we didn't do too well, we managed to place 2nd behind Sanus (if anyone has the exact band names or web sites, let me know), and we thought the crowd was one of the better we've had, so props to everyone who came out and screamed with us! You all make us feel right at home every time we take the stage, thanks for your support! And we have to give full marks to those who moshed in that silly auditorium within the first 30 seconds of our opening song The New Breed and got booted. That's metal, it's just too bad you guys had to miss the rest of the show!

We're sorry we ran out of merch and demo CDs, we're working to replenish our stock and should definitely be ready for our next show. We may even have a new item or two next time around. We'll keep you informed.

Third Shift At The Slaughterhouse
Posted 03.31.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Here you go, another new song. Third Shift At The Slaughterhouse. Head to the media page for the download link and lyrics. And don't worry, no pigs were harmed during the recording of this song.

Remember, Laconia High School Battle of the Bands tomorrow night! I'm guessing the start time is 7:00pm, but I can't guarantee that, so you should probably get there earlier just in case. See you fuckers there!

It's On
Posted 03.29.2005 12:00 am by Holmes

I was able to get in touch with the person running the April 1st Battle of the Bands at Laconia High School, and we are playing! I'm not sure of all of the details (bands, band order, admission, start time) so if anyone has these details please e-mail me so that I can update our shows page. Otherwise, just come out Friday ready to headbang. Sorry for the uncertainty about this show, hopefully you haven't already made other plans; and if you have, it's time to reschedule.

We're making good progress on Third Shift At The Slaughterhouse. We might even have that up by Friday.

You're Fucked
Posted 03.28.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Either that or your bandwidth is fucked because we have a ton of new shit! First, we finally have a new mp3! The new song is called You're Fucked; right-click here to download it, and head to the media page to check out the lyrics. What else is there? The bio has been updated with some new pics, there are 8 new photos up from our last two shows, and there's a new video of The New Breed taken at our show in Franklin. All right, stop reading this and check out the new stuff.

Oh yea, we've been getting lazy about making captions for all of the photos, so if you have ideas for any captions, e-mail Holmes to give your suggestions.

Pure Insanity
Posted 03.26.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Great fucking show Friday night in Franklin. Everyone who performed was fucking amazing, the crowd was amazing... All around awesome time for us, thanks to everyone for coming out and headbanging with us -- there's no feeling quite like looking into the crowd and seeing 20 heads bobbing up and down. Well, except for maybe, you know, 50+ heads bobbing up and down, but we're not going to get greedy. We'd like to give a special thanks to Supplication for coming out to perform and screaming along with us during Divided We Fall. That band seriously kicks ass.

Our show at the Bomb Shelter on the 20th was decent, though we would have loved to see more people there. It didn't help that one band didn't show and two got there late, but we played first and we'd like to think we made a good impression on at least a few new people. We booked another Sunday all-ages show at The Bomb Shelter for May 22nd. Other performing bands will be announced as they are confirmed. Like last time, we have tickets to sell for $10 each, so hunt us down, pick up a ticket (and a couple for your friends), and come out. It's worth it just to hear Dave's drums mic'ed.

We applied for the Battle of the Bands at Laconia High School which takes place on April 1st, but we haven't heard back whether we're actually playing there yet. We just wanted to give you a heads up now so you know we might be playing again soon. Don't book your Friday night just yet!

Some updates have been made around the site (bassist Dan Burton is now unofficially official, if that makes any sense), so you might want to check everything again. No new photos or videos, yet, but we should be getting some from our past two shows very soon. If you have any you want to share with us, get in touch with Holmes.

And finally, we will have a new song posted early next week. We think you'll like it. Stay metal.

Mandatory Show Update
Posted 03.17.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

What's up everyone? It's been a while since we last updated, but we have some news for you, some bad, some good. First off, the show March 19th at The Grange in Meredith, NH, has been cancelled! It appears poor communication and a lack of funds led to the cancellation. We are still playing at The Bomb Shelter in Manchester, NH, on Sunday, March 20th, and we still have a few tickets to sell, so please, if you plan on going and don't yet have a ticket, get in touch with us! Plus, if you were planning on going to the show Saturday, now you have more of a reason to go Sunday, right? Right.

We have also booked a show with Heavinsight, Fear Before the Fall, Nollpara, Deviance, and Too Short Notice for April 22nd in Berlin, NH. Should be a little closer to home for you north country fans. Also, we're waiting to hear on a possible Battle of the Bands appearance at Laconia High School on April 1st. When we know, you'll know.

A new bassist, Dan Burton, may join up with us soon! He's been hard at work learning our songs and hopes to be ready to play this weekend at The Bomb Shelter. If that pans out, we'll finally have what we can consider a full line-up, and we'll add his profile and additional pictures.

Finally, we still have two new songs in the works, tentatively titled Third Shift At The Slaughterhouse, and You're Fucked. A little riff work, song structuring, lyrics, and recording has yet to be done, but we hope to have at least one of them finished within a few weeks. We think you'll get a sore neck listening to them. Headbang like crazy! Stay metal!

Another Notch
Posted 02.21.2005 12:00 am by Holmes

Another great weekend! We placed 1st at the UNH Battle of the Bands on Friday. We were surprised and excited, there were some good bands there who certainly impressed us. Then Saturday we placed 2nd behind Difference 88 who definitely had a tight set and great sound. Congratulations to them and thanks to all the fans who came out to watch us play and met us at our merch table.

With that said, our next scheduled show is March 19th at The Grange in Meredith, NH. Then we have a new show scheduled for March 20th at The Bomb Shelter in Manchester, NH. For that show we have tickets to sell for $10 each. We want to make it our biggest turnout yet, so we're offering everyone special combo deals on tickets. Get a ticket and t-shirt for only $20, or get a ticket and hoodie for only $35. With either you also get 2 free NeverSayNever stickers. You save $5 either way, plus you'll have something cool to wear to the show. It's an all-ages show, but there's also a bar, so for you 21+ people who've been wishing you could drink while listening to us play (or need to drink in order to listen to us play), this is your chance.

Other shit: there are a few new photos on the media page; shows page is updated; there's a new merch page. We had to go ahead with it without your crazy photos. But you can still do it. You should still do it. Come on. Do it. Do it. Do it.

Get On Your Horse
Posted 02.17.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

All right, people, another big weekend is upon us. We just want to remind everyone that we'll be playing Friday in a Battle of the Bands in the Granite State Room at UNH -- show starts at 7:00 pm and is $5, 18+.  Then Saturday we're playing in another Battle of the Bands at Winnisquam High School -- show starts at 7:00 pm and is $5.  If you're going and need directions, let us know and we'll help you out. Come see us, say hi, then headbang to your heart's content.

It's been a while since we've produced anything new, but we have some ideas in the pipeline, and hopefully you'll be hearing a new song within a couple weeks.

Lastly, if you haven't already seen, there are a couple new group photos and a new video from February 4th.

You Should Have Been There
Posted 01.31.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Well, we had an awesome weekend. We were lucky enough to get our drummer Ellis to play both shows, and it made a hell of a difference. Friday at the Pemi Youth Center was the first time we have all played together, and we managed to pull it off. Sure, it was rough at times, but we more than made up for it with our energy. Saturday at the Music Clinic went much smoother and the crowd was just fucking amazing with the support they gave to every band that played. Thank you first and foremost to Black Dragon for hooking us up on the Plymouth show, and thanks to Supplication for getting us to the Belmont show. We love sharing the stage with you guys (and girl). Thanks also to all of the fans who moshed and headbanged and took the time to talk to us and even drop some money on our merchandise, it all helps to keep us passionate and motivated about what we're doing. I should also say a special thanks to Christen for running our merch table all day at the Supplication show, it made our night a whole lot easier.

"So where are the pictures? I want pictures." Yea well guess what... we're idiots. We brought cameras to both shows and were too lazy and forgetful to even take them out. However, at each show there were some people videotaping; Kyle taped both shows, and our potential new bassist Dan taped at the Belmont show in hopes of being able to put together a DVD for us. If it comes out really well, we may be selling those in the future. Speaking of selling things, we put together a new demo CD package which includes 6 complete songs. These cost $5 each, and if you're interested in getting one, get in touch with Holmes.

We'll be making a new clothes order soon, so if you have any special requests for what type of NSN gear you want, drop a note in the messageboard.

Two Shows THIS Weekend
Posted 01.22.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Two new shows recently confirmed! Friday the 28th at the Pemi Youth Center in Plymouth, NH, and Saturday the 29th at the Music Clinic in Belmont, NH. For the rest of the details, check the shows page. We hope to see some new faces and make some new friends, so come out and say hi. Or just watch us, that's cool too. We'll have our shirts and hoodies on hand to sell (remember, it's $5 less at our shows -- $10 for a shirt, $25 for a hoodie!), and hopefully we can get some demos burned in time. Stay metal.

Get Ready To Rumble
Posted 01.17.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

We've been comfirmed for the battle of the bands happening at UNH in February. We're going to need every last one of you to try to come out to support us. We might even throw in some free shit for those who show up. However, be forewarned that the show is likely 18+. More details to come soon.

Open Mic Mayhem
Posted 01.15.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

We had a great time at the 1st anniversary of open mic at the Dutch Treat. Post made it up to play with us and helped make our sound more dynamic, allowing us to finally play Revolution live. Many other artists performed including Ryan Noseworthy (vocalist/guitarist of Black Dragon) and Jarred Martineau (vocalist/guitarist of King Cancer) doing acoustic sets. Four new photos are up on the media page.

We may be playing on the 28th and the 29th this month, but nothing is confirmed yet so we'll try to keep you informed as soon as we know what's going on.

The shirts and hoodies are going quickly, so if you're looking to get one from this first batch, act soon. By the way, if you come out to see us play, you can get a t-shirt for only $10 and a sweatshirt for $25. Saving $5 and listening to metal seems like a pretty good deal, doesn't it?

One last thing. We're listed on MySpace.com, so if you happen to have a MySpace profile, check us out and add us as a friend. See our profile at http://www.myspace.com/neversaynevernh.

The Bad And The Good
Posted 01.09.2005 12:00 pm by Holmes

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, all that shit, but let's get to business. Unfortunately Dascoulias has decided to step out of the line-up so that he can concentrate on more pressing responsibilities. For the time he worked directly with us he learned quickly and showed a lot of potential, so perhaps we'll be able to welcome him back at some time in the future.

So that was the bad, and now the good. We got our first order of shirts and hoodies in. As pictured below, we have men's t-shirts ($15), women's t-shirts ($15), and hoodies ($30) in various sizes, though in very limited quantities since we don't know the extent of the demand yet. If you're looking to buy one, get in touch with Holmes.

For those who were looking for us to be playing in Berlin last night, the show (as far as we know) didn't happen. We're assuming poor planning and disorganization is the culprit, but really, we know nothing. We apologize to anyone who was hoping to see us play. We still have some appearances coming up, so check the shows page for those updates.

Two New Videos
Posted 12.21.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

Here you go, two new videos to download. One is a clip of Divided We Fall taken at the Battle of the Bands McMahon and Holmes performed at on August 21st, 2004. We have a video of all three songs we played that night -- if you want the whole thing, get in touch with Holmes.

The second video is of all of us minus Ellis practicing Battle Scar this past Friday when Post and Dascoulias came up to Littleton with McMahon and Holmes. Head to videos section and knock yourself out. Actually, be sure to wait until you've seen the videos to knock yourself out.

Frailty, Among Other Things
Posted 12.18.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

First and foremost, Frailty is now uploaded and ready to invade your ears. It's not the prototype NeverSayNever song, but we think you'll enjoy it. Guest vocals are performed by Jennifer Holmes; visit her music site at jenniferholmes.net.

On Friday the 17th, McMahon and I managed to bring Post and Dascoulias up to Littleton to practice. We played for a solid 5 hours, playing through each song at least a couple times. We hit Battle Scar really hard, and by the end of the night we had it down pretty solid. We made a lot of progress, and we all felt it was an excellent practice for playing together for our first time. But damn, we need to get Ellis going!

So other new content: 4 new photos from Friday and 3 new upcoming show listings. Coming soon, we'll have a video from Friday as well a video from the Battle of the Bands McMahon and I played back in August, so expect to be hearing from us again soon.

Divided We Fall Remix and Demo
Posted 12.13.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

In order to submit a demo for the possible February 18th Battle of the Bands, we remixed Divided We Fall by redoing the guitars and vocals. This mix is more raw and sounds much more like the newer songs we've released, so we highly suggest you download it again to make your NeverSayNever music collection a little better. Do I need to keep reminding
everyone of where to find the songs? I don't think so. By now you know where to go.

Here's an image of what that demo looks like. (Everything is actually black/red on white, there was just poor lighting when the pictures were taken, so try to imagine it being white, not an odd tan color.)

The New Breed
Posted 12.04.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

So you probably thought there would be a lull in new material from us after the release of Battle Scar. Wrong. We're back already with The New Breed. The instrumental part of this song was written about five months ago and was performed live when NeverSayNever was a two-man operation of Holmes and McMahon. With McMahon now free to flex his lyrical muscles, he transformed it into what we now call The New Breed. Right-click here to download, or get it from the media page.

You may have already read on our messageboard that there are possible upcoming shows. It's true, though nothing is confirmed, yet; once we know for sure, we'll let you know and post information on our shows page. For the Battle of the Bands taking place at UNH on February 18th, 2005, we need to submit a demo CD along with lyrics and information about the band in order to be approved. For that demo we are going to fix up the guitars and vocals in Divided We Fall, so within the next week we'll be back with another update to encourage you to download that new mix.

And finally, we have a photo up of that crazy fucker Dascoulias in the bio section. Check it out, and while you're at it, send some e-mails to us... We're in the market for groupies.

Battle Scar
Posted 12.01.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

You saw the teaser. Now it's time for the real thing. Battle Scar is here. Head to the media page to download it. Be sure to check out the lyrics on this one, too. Post like mad animals on the messageboard to let us know what you think. Not that mad animals know how to type, but you know what I mean.

And now, we add a bassist to the mix: John Dascoulias from Franklin, NH. We'll have his bio up along with photos as soon as possible. Now you'll be able to expect a thorough ass-kicking from us when you see us perform live. Until then, enjoy the music.

Battle Scar Teaser and The Concord Monitor
Posted 11.28.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

No, it's not done, yet. Not quite. But we have a little something for you. Our new song Battle Scar is coming along, and we've put together a video teaser for you just so you know what to expect from us in the near future. Head to the media page to download it. (Note: You must have Windows Media Player to view the file!)

What else? We were recently contacted by a photographer from The Concord Monitor, who offered to take photographs of either a practice or a show for their new weekly photo column. Hopefully we can get our shit together for this great opportunity. Cross your fingers.

Just Read The Damn Update
Posted 11.23.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

We'd like to welcome guitarist Nick Post and drummer Dave Ellis to NeverSayNever. After seeing them at the Supplication show on Halloween and working together to produce our latest song Revolution, we're very excited to have these guys join up with us. They are extremely talented and will surely contribute a lot to NeverSayNever. Welcome aboard fuckers! On that note, a new song is in the pipeline, and we all hope to have that available within a couple of weeks.

As you may also notice, we've redesigned the site to allow for expansion. We have a new layout, updated the bio, added a bunch of photos, and exchanged one of the videos. Enjoy. You'll be hearing from us again when we have new music!

Revolution
Posted 11.10.2004 12:00 pm by Holmes

After a grueling 6 days of writing, recording, and re-recording, we have a new song for you -- Revolution. This song was conceived by guitarist Nick Post, and we worked together to develop it into a full-blown song. We met Franklin, NH, natives Nick and his friend Dave Ellis (drummer) at the Supplication Halloween show (Malignant Discord), and through our conversations and collaboration they have emerged as potential band members. We plan to keep working together to create new material, and hopefully in the not-too-distant future we'll be able to jam together.

Also, we're going to revisit Frailty to try to get a final mix of that for you.
